«In the present work I will focus on Romani, henceforth Norwegian Romani (NR). NR is spoken by the so-called Romanifolk/Tater (RT) minority, a community standing out due to semi-itinerant lifestyle and strong in-group bounds. Travelling and migrant labour are seen by many community members as constitutive for the RT culture and thus as integral part of the self-image, mirrored in the widely used autonym ‘Reisende’ [travellers].» — 1
