«In present day newspapers, magazines, cultural periodicals and other means of mass communication, ideological material plays a dominant part. Ideological considerations enter into all main political discussions and programs. Ideological indoctrination is not only tolerated in universities, but there are strong tendencies toward a deliberate, systematic development of indoctrinary courses. In marked contrast to this exuberant activity on the practical and indoctrinary level, we find ideology research comparatively neglected.»
